Los Angeles, CA (March 23, 2016) Undefeated flyweight prospect Seniesa “Superbad” Estrada, 5-0-0 (1KO) is training in Southern California under the watchful eye of longtime trainer Dean Campos in preparation for her six round showdown against Selene Lopez, 3-4-3 (1KO) at Golovkin vs. Wade on Saturday, April 23 at the Fabulous Forum.
Said the 23-year-old Estrada from her home base at the MVB Boxing Club in Whittier, California, “Training is going well, each day I’m working hard to make sure I’m 100% ready to put on a great performance. Lopez has more rounds of experience and has fought former champions at my weight class. I’m preparing the same way I prepare for every opponent, never taking my opponents lightly. I can’t wait to display my skills on April 23.”
This will be the second time Estrada has appeared on the non-televised portion of a headlined by Boxing Superstar Gennady “GGG” Golovkin, the first coming on May 16, 2015 at the Forum where she won a unanimous decision over Carly Batey.
Continued Estrada, “I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to be back on a “GGG” undercard for the second time. I thank Tom Loeffler and K2 Promotions for giving women’s boxing a chance to be on a major HBO card. It’s important to me that people understand that women deserve to showcase themselves.”
“I want to continue to prove why I deserve to be here, entertain my supporters, put people in the seats, and impress everyone so that I can someday be showcased on HBO just like “GGG” and “Chocolatito.”
“I also want to inspire people throughout my career and let people know that anything is possible when you never give up.”
In a second women’s bout at UNDEFEATED former world title challenger Kenia Enriquez, 15-1-0 (7KO’s), of Tijuana, Mexico squares off against NABF Minimum Weight Champion Amaris “Diamond Girl” Quintana, 9-2-2 (1KO) of San Diego, California in an eight round junior lightweight bout.
