On Episode #62 of the “Going Down Swinging” podcast the fellas are joined by Mohammed Shahid, CEO of Brave Combat Federation, founder of KHK MMA in Bahrain and trainer of Hawk’s Elite Combat Academy, as he prepares to showcase his new MMA promotion this Friday, September 23 from the Khalifa Center in the country of Bahrain.

Shahid, a self-taught martial artist pioneered the arrival of MMA in his home country of Bahrain and continues to strive for a world where MMA is accepted, practiced and embraced across the globe.  Shahid explains the vision of Brave Combat Federation, what fans can expect from their inaugural event and the importance of San Diego’s own Manolo Hernandez, Alex Soto, UFC hall of fame Pete Williams, Carlos Kremer and photographer Courtney Henderson in the culmination of this event.

Also, we break down everything going on in the MMA world, specifically the Al Iaquinta saga, the ongoing drama with UFC 205 from Madison Square Garden, and what does Chael Sonnen’s signing with Bellator mean for the rising promotion.

Lastly, we break down the Cris Cyborg weight cut leading up to her fight this weekend from Brazil and ask the question: Is the UFC brass losing control of their roster?
